Red textured cloth covered boards with blind stamped frame on the front and back covers with ornate stamped corner motifs. The front cover also has gilt titles in the centre. With gilt title "31st Foot" on the spine, light yellow pastedowns and endpapers. Book condition Near Fine, there is some wear to the cover, edges rubbed, front cover and top and bottom of spine a little rubbed, small repaired tear to front endpaper. The Internal condition is Fine, complete and intact with no foxing. The colour plates are stunning, still clean and incredibly rich and bright. Size 9" x 5½", Each book has date references in the margins throughout. With 44 pages of prelims, 231 pages, 5 colour plates in the first book and 9 pages of prelims, 56 pages, 2 colour plates in the second book.
