Welsh Charles Goody Two-Shoes a Facsimile Reproduction of the Edition of 1766 with an Introduction By Charles Welsh West Corner of St. Paul's Churchyard. Griffith, Farran & Company 1881 Cloth Bound Boards Very Good Book Brown cloth with gold titles to spine, marbled endpapers, illustrated. Spine ends sl. rubbed. Very occasional light spotting, finger marks to a few pages. Pages are odd in that their sizes are very different and there has been no trimming of the text block. 160pp all in fine condition. First published by John Newbery in 1765. The authorship has been attributed to Oliver Goldsmith. Goody Two-Shoes was orphaned because her father was "seized with a violent fever in a place where Dr. James's Powder was not to be had".
