1943 First Edition. Size 7.5" x 4.75", 160 pages. Green cloth with yellow titles to the spine. Endpapers printed with map of the North Atlantic and the route followed. Dust jacket with large black titles and black, dark dusky pink and yellow silhouette illustration of ships in a bay. Book condition very good, corners and edges a little rubbed and toned, contents clean. Dust jacket condition very good, bottom 2" of spine missing, edges and folds rubbed, a little grubby, not price clipped, price 6s. net. "The meeting at sea between President Roosevelt and Mr. Winston Churchill in August 1941, when the Atlantic Charter was drawn up, has been termed the most dramatic personal encounter of the War. H.V. Morton, who crossed the Atlantic in H.M.S. 1936 Twenty-third Edition revised. Size 7.5" x 5", 283 pages including index. Condition very good, corners and edges rubbed, spine slightly faded, contents clean. Navy buckram with gilt tudor rose emblem on the front cover and gilt titles to the spine, bottom page edge rough cut. Endpapers are printed with A Map of England showing the route that was followed. With frontispiece and 17 further illustrations sepia photographs depicting English scenes throughout.
