Lymington, Hampshire Nautical Publishing Company 1970 First Edition Cloth Bound Boards Near Fine Near Fine Book
From the Library of Sir John Mills and Mary Mills. Size 9" x 5¾" 317 pages. Red cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. Book condition near fine, corners and spine edge slightly rubbed, else fine. Dustjacket condition near fine, couple of bends, slightly grubby, else fine, not price clipped. Inside the book is a letter dated 14th January 1978 to Sir John Mills, from Reverend George Artingstall. The Reverend says how he has known the author since his boyhood days, and informs John that he is currently trapped, at home, an invalid with an iron lung. He sent this copy of the book to John Mills as a gift to enjoy, and also asks that, if he thinks it suitable for a film, he would recommend it to the right persons. John Mills has written on the letter "I replied 21/1/78" 10647
