Condition very good plus, the bindings are sound, corners and spine edges slightly rubbed, internal condition very good, very light occasional foxing, owner's name on half title in volume I else contents clean. Fine binding, half tan calf with gilt edges over marbled boards. Four gilded raised bands with gilt borders to each spine with gilt titles and volume numbers in the second and fourth and tooled decoration in the other compartments. Marbled page edges, pastedowns and endpapers and navy blue book mark ribbons. A handsomely bound set. Contains the first appearance of St. Valentine's Day; or, The Fair Maid of Perth. 11638
